Custom Action Figures

“When you don’t like what you are given, make it better.”

This quote is from a band of online action figure customizers who literally tore up their toys to make new ones in the late 1990′s. I got into this hobby with my wife Leslie: we bought toy action figures, ripped them apart, glued them back together, added clay and paint and other stuff, and created brand new toys. This turned out to be Leslie’s first step into a sculpturing career.

I collaborated with Leslie on the execution of many of her figures, but I only claim actual creation credit on the three below, Jonny Quick, Lex Luthor, and the Flash.
